Coaching sessions will typically be for a duration of 60 minutes. Sessions can be conducted over the phone, face to face or via Skype.
During your coaching sessions, I will ask you about your current level of self-care and want to get out of our sessions. From here, we will explore your current reality around your chosen area, explore possible actions around what you could do and from this develop a structured plan to move you to where you want to be. I am there to support you 100%, however it is up to you to challenge and reflect upon certain ideas to help you move forward with your life. You will never be forced to make any decisions you don’t feel comfortable with and all sessions will be confidential, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings privately.
Coaching is a partnership between us, and I will gently encourage and challenge you to explore how to make positive changes in your life. I will offer you support and feedback to help you to stay focused on your goals.
Email me now. And we can set up an initial appointment. From there, you will receive an information pack by email, which will include a client profile sheet (telling me more about what you want) as well as a coaching agreement. You will then return your questionnaire and contract agreement by email prior to starting your sessions. This gives me a better understanding of what is going on in your life right now and what you want to achieve from coaching.
Coaching and counselling work with different models. Of course, each practitioner works differently but counselling tends to treat past emotional issues, while coaching focuses on where you are now, where you want to be, and how you will get there. However, I firmly believe that being a trained Counsellor as well as a Self-Care Coach, is a real advantage to my work with you. If deeper issues arise in a coaching session that are blocking you in moving forward, these can be addressed in a more substantial way, to bring about more long term and effective change.
I offer a free initial session to make sure that it makes sense for us to work together. We can explore how you believe I can help you, and whether you feel I am the right coach for you. At that point, you can choose to work with me or not. There is no obligation to book any further sessions.
